Prosperity Lies

Updated: Dec 17, 2019

Is a state of being wealthy or having a rich and full life.

A person who is living a rich and full life with money and happiness he needs.(resources, shelter, cars, etc)

Developing countries is having a basic luxuries such as running water and electricity.

Difference between What the Bible says and the world says about prosperity?

The Bible says:

But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19 KJV

The world says:

And the world says Give all and I will make you rich or a millionaire. It is no longer about God, it is about them. It's like they will supply all your needs.

The Bible says:

But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel. 1 Timothy 5:8 KJV

The world says:

Give all your income to the house of God and let your children be without food for a month and you will be blessed. Has it ever happened?

Because it is the world principle there is no blessing in it. The children are crying and the Lord sees an unbeliever who cannot provide for his family.

The Bible says:

But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. 2 Corinthians 9:6‭-‬7 KJV

The world says:

Give all you have to please God. The truth is you’re not pleasing God but pleasing the man you're giving to. They manipulate you into giving all and you end up being in so much debt while they are becoming richer and richer Wherever they ask you to give all your wages or salary run for your life. Don't go back there.

Do not allow yourself to be manipulated into giving like Solomon, Solomon gave what he had and with a cheerful heart. He didn't give what he didn't have. You do not need to give more than you can afford, Give what you can afford so that it may be well with you and your family. Do not give grudgingly, God loves a cheerful giver. Conclusion:

Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. 3 John 1:2 KJV This is what God wishes for us, to prosper and be in good health.

If they are for God this is what they will wish for you. But because they are not they will only want to take from you.
